Maputo International Music Festival (Mozambique) joins to Sttellenbosch International Chamber Music Festival (South Africa) as a new partnership

The usual words of welcome addressed to all those interested in participating in the fourth edition of the International Chamber Music Competition “Cidade de Alcobaça” (CIMCA) were renewed and this time, António Rosa, Artistic Director of the competition, reveals in his message not only the maintenance of the international partnership with the Sttellenbosch International Chamber Music Festival (South Africa), will receive in 2016 the winner of the Senior Category, but also a new partnership with the Maputo International Music Festival (Mozambique).

For the also President of Jury, it “is a privilege and an honor to repeat the collaboration with the Stellenbosch International Chamber Music Festival, as well to introduce a new partnership we managed with the Maputo Music Festival”.

António Rosa still reserve some words for the new jurors of the next edition: “Once more, we meet a jury of unparalleled quality, with experience and great projection that helps us to achieve indelibly the levels we expect.”

Among these, we have the following names: António Rosa (President of the Jury, Artistic Diretor and Orquestra Sinfónica do Porto), António Saiote (ESMAE – Escola Superior de Música, Artes e Espetáculo, Porto), Jonathan Luxton (Orquestra Gulbenkian and Escola Superior de Música de Lisboa), Miquel Bernat (Drumming, ESMAE and ESMUC, Barcelona), Luís Magalhães (Stellenbosch University, South Africa) and Vicente Chuaqui (Conservatório de Música do Porto), noting that there may be a seventh member of the Jury, to be appointed soon by the Organization.
